Review of MGE “ABC Training Program”

MGE provides training for dentists. They have several levels of training, but most are based around the ideas of truly listening to your patients and speaking to them on their level — in other words, real communication. The ultimate goal is to increase closing rates and collections.

So, does MGE work? Well, in short, yes. At least, the ideas work, when taken to heart and implemented properly in your practice.

Today’s review focuses on MGE’s ABC Course on Sales and Communications. It’s a mid-level series of training that they host primarily at their offices in Florida.

MGE’s ABC program works if you implement it. They will take most dentists well outside their comfort zone by forcing the dentist to talk about money with the patients. The theory behind it is very solid and I can certainly confirm that it works. You’ll also learn a lot about how to communicate with any type of patient and how to avoid the “trouble” patients.

All in all, it’s a good program for dentists willing to step outside their comfort zone and make some fundamental changes in their practice. With successful implementation you should see exponential growth. Of course, like anything else, if you leave the training and never implement anything or only do it half-heartedly, you’ll most likely be flushing your money down the drains.

(oh, and one more thing: we are using it in our office and YES, our collections have increased.)
