Have you ever wondered why dental schools don’t spend more time teaching the BUSINESS side of being a dentist? You pay your tuition, spend the time studying, get your degree, and then rush out into the world and open your practices doors with in the middle of… 15 other dentists who did the exact same thing. How do you succeed? How do you make sure you’re more successful than “Healthy Smiles Dental” or “Joe Smith, DDS” that are within shouting distance of your office? You weren’t taught much in the way of business management (unless you went out of your way to take classes). You weren’t taught anything about marketing. And you can bet no one told you how to harness the power of the internet to make your practice a success.
That’s where we come in.
The goal of BigDiastema.com is to provide you with the resources you need to succeed in an over-crowded community of dentists that are just like you. There are no fees associated with the website. It’s all free, and it’s all here for you to learn from or ignore… the choice is yours.
So why did we create it? Mostly because it’s our passion. You can check out our background on our About Us page. We occasionally accept consulting jobs with dentists, but it’s on a case-by-case basis and we are selective with who we choose to work with. We currently run a practice full-time, so that’s where our priorities lie.
So what will you lean on this site? Why should you keep coming back? Well, we hope that our articles will provide you with the free dental marketing tips you need to grow your practice, the dental technology reviews you need to make informed decisions before you invest your hard-earned dollars (and increase your overhead), and enough information about dental techniques and procedures, Internet technology for dentists, and more, that you will get far more than you paid for (which is nothing, as will always be the case with this website!).
We won’t be all things to all people: we talk about what we know and what our opinions are about what we know. Dr. Marvin has started multiple million-dollar practices and Jared has been coaching small business owners on how to market for the better part of the last decade — most of it while running his own medical businesses. We won’t review products we haven’t used. We won’t sell our reviews (everything we write is genuine, and without strings attached). We will answer questions posed to us in the articles and we will do our best to provide relevant information that dentists like you are seeking.
We’re a little quirky, a little “outside the box”, and a lot successful… if what we do appeals to you, we hope you’ll come back for seconds and invite your friends. If it doesn’t, well, you can ignore us and tun your focus elsewhere. It’s your choice… we’ll be here no matter what you decide.
